Dear Seculars,
Such a beautiful month where we give thanks and praise to God for the gift our Blessed Lady is to us; how honoured we are to be called to be her children in Carmel.
This May is especially important to us. At our Community Meeting on Sunday May 4th, in obedience to our Constitutions, we will renew our Promise.
“The promise of obedience is a pledge to live open to the will of God… imitating Christ who accepted the Father’s will and was ‘obedient unto death, death on a cross’…”
Const, para 15
“The promise of obedience is an exercise of faith leading to the search for God’s will in… our own personal life…”
Const, para 15
Our Promise of Obedience is a challenge to our trust and faith this year, I am thinking of August, the tri-annual Elections, and our need to surrender ourselves to the action of the Holy Spirit. Much to pray about, long conversations with Jesus.
“Oh Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!”
