Sr Lauren of the Cross: First Profession

The newly professed Sr Lauren of the Cross made her First Profession (Promises) at the Christchurch Carmelite Monastery on 15th October 2024.

It has been a pleasure to witness another sister join our OCD sisters in Christchurch.  The Church continues to grow in every age, for God is timeless and present. 

The Mass was celebrated by Bishop John Adams of Palmerston North – formerly a beloved priest of the Christchurch Diocese. He was joined by several brother priests of the Christchurch diocese.

It was the pleasure for our Christchurch Peace of Christ OCDS Community to serve at this Mass with welcoming people, reading, serving food and cleaning up. 

God is good!
