Dear Friends in Carmel,
November is the month dedicated to pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, and we especially remember Fr Brian and Fr Bill, recently deceased.
Only a few weeks away from our Carmel retreat with Fr Carl, and we have had many enquiries. There will be around 44 retreatants, and it certainly shows people want to spend a silent time with the Lord and experience something of our Carmelite spirituality 🙏. The Scripture theme to meditate on for the retreat is:
“Set me as a seal upon your heart...”
He has sealed the new covenant in the blood of Christ.
Barbara Hempseed has kindly created a word document for us, for all the Divine Office, so we can use our phone or Divine Office books on retreat. I will email out the documents before the retreat, plus an updated retreat leaflet, and other info for the retreat. Please continue to keep us in prayer.
Congratulations again to Sr Lauren, and have included a photo from this grace-filled day. So many people joined Sr Lauren, and a big thank you to all who helped with welcoming people, reading, serving food and cleaning up!
Safe travels Fr Michael-Thérèse, as you return to NZ and we look forward to seeing you at our meeting day on November 6th. 
Special mention to keep Mary O’Boyle in prayer as she awaits news of her back surgery soon.
One day Padre Pio gave a Rosary to a Spiritual daughter remarking to her with a trembling voice, “I am entrusting you with a treasure. Know how to value it. Let us empty Purgatory.”
