July: Dedicated to the Precious Blood of Jesus

Dear brothers and sisters in Carmel,

Hope you are keeping warm and dry in this rather cold weather.

Congratulations to Marian Fallon as she moves forward in her Carmelite journey. May God’s abundant blessings be upon her as she makes her Definitive Promise on the 3rd of July.

We look forward to celebrating the occasion with Holy Mass at 2pm.

A shared afternoon tea will follow. Please don’t forget to bring a plate. Thank you.

The 16th of July (Saturday) is the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. There shall not, however, be a public celebration this year apart from the normal 8.30 am Mass at the Carmelite Monastery on that day.

July 2022 is a specially joyous month for the Christchurch Diocese: we celebrate the Installation of Bishop Michael Gielen on  the 9th, and the Ordination of Deacon Monty Bamford on the 16th. 

Thank you, Lord, for Your many blessings on us in Christchurch.

Please continue to pray for the Sisters for their election this month and also for our own election in August.

May God continue to bless all of us, our families and loved ones.
