Dear brothers and sisters in Carmel,

Our sympathies, thoughts and prayers are with our dear Carmelite Sisters as they mourn for their beloved Sr Mary Teresa of St Augustine who passed away on 12th May. May God grant them  consolation for their loss.  Sr Mary Teresa holds a special place in the hearts of the Seculars as she had been a friend and mentor to many of us on our Carmelite journey. God bless and keep her in His everlasting love.

We also pray for Fr Michael Therese as he rushed home to the US to be with family following the passing of his uncle, Patrick Dempsey (his mother’s brother). May God grant eternal rest to his uncle and shower consolation to his family members.

The Council is happy to announce that Marian shall be making her Definitive Promise on 3rd July. Thank you, dear Marian, for your love for our OCDS Community and for saying ‘yes’ to the Lord. Please keep Marian in your prayers.

On Sunday the 15th of May the Church celebrated the canonisation of St Titus Brandsma, another Carmelite saint.  May God through the intercession of St Titus bless and protect us and grant us peace in our fragile world.

Please continue to pray for the success of our forthcoming retreat in November.

Blessings in Carmel,

Maureen William, OCDS
