St Therese throwing flowers at the monstrance during a Blessed Sacrament procession
"I especially loved the processions in honour of the Blessed Sacrament. What a joy it was for me to throw flowers beneath the feet of God!... I was never so happy as when I saw my roses touch the sacred Monstrance."

April: Dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament

How quickly time flies! Here we are with our April Newsletter.

We are now through the fourth week of Lent. As we approach Palm Sunday and Holy Week, let us remain close in prayer for each other. This Easter we give special thanks for the gift of the Eucharist; may we never ever have to do virtual Easter celebrations and online Easter Mass. Never ever!!

April is dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament. We recall the words of St Therese of the Child Jesus:

Oh, my darling, think, then, that Jesus is here in the Tabernacle expressly for you, for you alone; He is burning with the desire to enter your heart … so don’t listen to the devil, mock him, and go without any fear to receive Jesus in peace and love!

At our next meeting we shall be renewing our Promises in the Chapel. Please bring the Renewal of Promise, copy of which is printed in this Newsletter. On that day, too, we shall be welcoming EA into our Community as she is formally admitted into Formation.

God bless everyone with a Happy and Holy Easter!

Blessings in Carmel,

Maureen William, OCDS
